TTK Prestige is one of India's leading home appliances manufacturers, famous for its quality kitchenware that’s been on the market for over 50 years, as well as for viral ads and even its own movie award. Prestige is the core part of TTK Group, founded in 1928 as an indenting agency by Tiruvellore Thattai Krishnamachari, later India’s finance minister under Jawaharlal Nehru. Today TTK Group offers more than 30 product categories with a turnover exceeding 30 billion rupees (USD 0.5bn).
Until recently, Prestige used several solutions to cover its emailing needs, including a cloud email provider and Microsoft Outlook on the client side. The practice resulted in high operational costs, productivity losses and formatting issues in documents.
Following a detailed review of the organization's requirements for an Enterprise Class communication system and also of competitive bidding, TTK management turned to Softline to improve email and collaboration tools in the company. The main challenge was a constrained timeline for completing the migration.
In partnership with Microsoft, Softline came up with a plan to migrate all users’ data to Office 365. The solution proved to be a fast and reliable one, and all users got the new service with zero downtime.
“Thank to Office 365, we have removed a number of productivity bottlenecks that TTK employees had to circumvent daily. Web-based Microsoft Office tools enable users to edit documents on the go, keeping the original formatting. The solution also ensures broad compatibility and enterprise-grade support,” says Vinod Nair, Joint Managing Director of Softline India.
“We, at TTK Prestige, are happy to have adopted Microsoft Office 365 suite and are really appreciative of the efforts put in by Softline team during the mailing solution migration process and also of continuing efforts of the implementation team in providing post-migration support that is aimed at effective adoption of the product,” added H.S. Muralidhara, CIO of TTK Prestige.
