Softline has become one of the Microsoft partners for providing services on the Microsoft SAM Managed Service program in Russia, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, and South-East Asia countries. Softline is the first Russian company to acquire such a status.
The goal of Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is to enable ongoing outsourcing via accredited providers and thus help companies increase the efficiency of software asset management. This program provides everything necessary to implement the best SAM practices, tools, and resources, providing the clients with the full overview of their infrastructure. Microsoft SAM Managed Service Program is designed to help them make real-time decisions on software asset management.
Clients that work with accredited partners, such as Softline, will get access to unique Microsoft benefits and services. They decrease the audit-related risks, licensing errors, and provide direct contact with the vendor. The latter means that the clients have ongoing access to the consulting support until the end of product support and achievement of the necessary maturity level as per the Microsoft SAM Optimization Model (SOM).[VT1] They also have access to at least one strategic advice of an Accredited Cybersecurity or Cloud Provider.
To ensure the highest quality of service, only the Microsoft partners that have passed a strict audit on compliance with industry standards (ISO 19770) and Microsoft SAM Optimization Model (SOM) can become accredited providers and offer services within the framework of the program. The program demands the accredited providers to pass annual reassessment to prove their expertise. Independent auditors assess the capability of the Microsoft partner of providing high-quality services demanded by the program, check for compliance with the Microsoft SAM Optimization Model (SOM) and ISO 19770, and provide SAM consulting services in the field of Cybersecurity or Cloud Productivity.
“Softline has become the first Russian company with the Microsoft SAM Managed Service Accredited Provider status, which opens broad perspectives in the IT market. We change our client relationship model, moving from performing projects to rendering services. Signing service contracts, continuous project management, and timely response to technical requests are the main elements of our strategy, and the status that we received proves its effectiveness. Softline wants to become a SAM technology leader, and to achieve this goal, it offers clients new licensing program efficiency assessment and software asset optimization scenarios, relying on Microsoft expertise,” – says Vladimir Razuvaev, Head of Business Consulting Department, Softline.
"SAM grants a strategic benefit to most companies because this methodology provides up-to-date and trustworthy information about software assets, the management of which can be outsourced to Softline. Softline has the expertise to offer this service all over the world. It is very important that the vendor highly assesses the Softline competences and continues to develop them within the frames of actual technological trends”, — comments Sergey Chernovolenko, Softline Global CEO.
“Partners that have been awarded the Accredited Provider status have passed a strict audit of an independent reviewer and proved their ability to provide high quality of services required by the program. Softline has put every effort to reach this status, and Microsoft is glad that the clients receive benefits from the competences of this company,” — says Patama Chantaruck, General Manager of Worldwide Software Asset Management and Compliance at Microsoft.
